The Airing//
The Airing is the debut EP from lever harpist and composer, Rebecca Hill. Intertwining harp, fiddle (Charlie Stewart) and mandolin (Graham Rorie), each track is delicately arranged showcasing Rebecca's mix of influences from her upbringing around Traditional music in the West Coast of Scotland to her more innovative compositional styles developed during her time in Glasgow.
This four track EP consists of two tracks of Rebecca’s own compositions. This includes Newark Seaglass, influenced by the coastal phenomena of Scotland’s shores and Rebecca’s title track, The Airing.
These co-exist alongside more Traditional material in the Marque of Huntly’s Farewell.
The Airing was launched at Glasgow's Celtic Connections 2020 festival as part of the New Tradition’s series, where the EP line up was enhanced with the addition of Joseph Peach on piano.
